Our Health and Safety Consultants are fully qualified professionals trained to national standards and with a wide experience of industry and commerce.

They work in partnership with our clients to assist them achieve compliance with legal requirements and to implement systems designed to reduce accident potential, damage to property and liability.

The service offered by Lighthouse has many benefits in releasing your own time to concentrate on your business, taking all the worry out of health and safety issues and legislation by ensuring that your obligations are fully met, acting as your competent person if required.

We do not provide a mass of paper and leave clients to “work it out”. We provide employers with whatever help they need to ensure full compliance with current Health and Safety requirements and assist in the implementation of all necessary procedures.

The Health and Safety Audit

We can undertake a comprehensive audit to provide a thorough examination of your premises and existing arrangements for health & safety – this will give us an idea of what, if anything, is needed to achieve legal compliance. Weʼll submit a report outlining the findings with our recommendations of any actions required – helping to form your health & safety plan.

The Health and Safety Manual

We can prepare and meet with you to implement a bespoke health and safety manual. This document will incorporate the general policy, organisation and arrangements and includes recording systems for risk assessments, training and maintenance etc. The document is structured to assist management to meet the requirements of relevant legislation providing you with an easy to manage system which is practical and straightforward.

Visits

Follow-up visits can be carried out to your sites. These visits can be used to establish progress made and provide assistance and guidance to resolve issues; this includes providing hands on help with training and/or risk assessment including Fire, Noise, COSHH, DSE, and Manual Handling etc.

Assistance

We can fulfil your obligations under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations by ensuring you have access to competent help in applying the provisions of health and safety law. Consultants are qualified professionals who are Members of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

To complement and support the Health and Safety services we can also provide clients with access to an advice line. Advice can take the form of the spoken word, email or fax.

If an enforcing authority takes any action against you, we will liaise with that body in order to protect your position. In the event of a major accident or major incident, we will attend at your site to assist you complete a thorough investigation and manage the necessary actions in order to ensure that your interests are best protected.
